Tour Detail itinerary
Our Hanoi Jeep Tour team will pick you up from your hotel in an open-air Army Jeep at 7:30am. We then depart Hanoi via the Hanoi - Ninh Binh Highway.
As we leave the city behind, enjoy the fresh air and take in the views of amazing rice fields, rural villages, and countryside landscapes. This is a perfect introduction to northern Vietnam’s beauty.
Then after long drive, we will stop for a short break where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and use the restroom. Then, we continue our journey for about 45 km toward Ninh Binh.
When you arrive in Ninh Binh, the scenery opens up to breathtaking views of limestone mountains, rivers, and peaceful villages. Traveling in the open-air Jeep allows you to fully enjoy the stunning landscape.
We then drive into local villages, where you’ll see daily life and the natural beauty that makes Ninh Binh so special.
Arrive at Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam. Here, you’ll get off the Jeep to visit the temples of King Dinh and King Le, where your guide will share stories about the Dinh and Le dynasties and Vietnam’s early history.
Continue the journey through Trang An landscape, a UNESCO-recognized area, famous for its dramatic limestone mountains. We’ll take scenic backroads through villages and rice paddies, with opportunities to stop for photos and learn about wet rice farming culture.
Next, we visit Thung Nang (Thung Nham Valley) and the peaceful Thai Vi Temple, surrounded by mountains and nature.
Around 12.00pm, we will have lunch at the local restaurant, followed by some time to relax.
Then we head to Tam Coc for a boat trip. Board a traditional sampan boat (2 people per boat) and drift along the river, passing through villages, rice fields, and limestone mountains. You'll go through three natural caves: Hang Ca (First Cave), Hang Hai (Second Cave), and Hang Ba (Third Cave). This will truly be a unique and peaceful experience.
Around 15.00, after the boat trip, we will return to the Jeep and say goodbye to Ninh Binh. We then head back to Hanoi, ending a memorable day.
